Kitten Crusader

Hello everyone! While on a mini vacation this week to Long Island, I found time to create my picture book character for this month's challenge: I am the Kitten Crusader, triumphing over evil to defend helpless kittens in less fortunate situations and relocate them to a better, brighter future once and for all. :P Silly, I know! Basically, I'm a big cat fan and have been known a time or two to do some kitten relocating for some homeless little angels, one I've kept for seven years now. This was actually pretty fun and got me away from the kind of thing I'm used to. It's nice to get outside of that box once in a while! :)

Gina this just cracked me up! The action is great. Love the kitties in the bag. I am impressed with how quickly you got this done. . .I am still working on mine. I am so darn slow! This is really wonderul. Congrats on a great job. I love cats too. I even built my cats a cat condo and they love it.

Oh Gina what a sweet soul you are. Rescuing the homeless !!! I love your illustration. It is so full of action and dedication, just like you!

The expression of determination on your crusader's face is priceless.

I am a dog person with a compartment in my heart for all cats and kittens. And there's even a little space in there for a mouse or two.

Fun illustration! I would love to fly- hate airplane and being caught in a tube- but to fly like this would be so fun! Looks like your kitties are enjoying it too!

Gina, it's a fun illustration. You handle the action of flying very well. I especially like the kittens.

Very nice colored pencil illustration, Gina. Makes me wish I could just fly away, too. I'm glad you could take a little break. I was in New York for the first time last year, driving a van in a tour group from Seattle to New York. I hope to revisit New York someday.
