After several delays, the new release date for my illustrated book "Little Black Ant on Park Street" (Soundprints Publishing) is December 2009. I took these photos of the spreads with a pocket camera, and will repost them when I get actually high quality scans. But I was so excited I just had to show you now! It was hard to choose only 2 spreads from the book, but I cannot give away the story. So until December, this will have to satisfy!

WOW!!!! And I mean...WWWOOOOOWWWWW! Beautiful!
It almost made me ache to see all the rendering you did, especially on the front/back cover spread. Rendering is so time consuming. Only an illustrator can fully appreciate what you put into those beautiful spreads.
Kate...these are stunning! They have such a warm inviting feel to them as well...the dandelions...the way you've put such an atmosphere into it..the bird and nest and colors. I LOVE these. Huge congratulations on a job beautifully done!
Thanks everyone! Yes Bron, tons of painstaking detail....the spreads are actually about 2 feet long. So it was a lot of work. (well, that's an understatement)
I love the different angles of the compositions.
These are beautiful!
I know how frustrating book delay is...
Let us know when they are available, I want one!
This is when it is time to say ... Genius! These are fantastic. All those ANTS. I think I would never believe I could view an ant as beautiful....but these guys are awesome!
PS... I tweeted this on our Picture Bookies Twitter page.
