Paws, Claws, Hands and Feet - Moose and Magpie

Thought I would update everyone on what I have been working on. This month Paws, Claws, Hands and Feet arrives in stores and on bookshelves. I am very excited about this book.

I just finished another book titled Moose and Magpie. As the title of the book conveys there were initially only two main characters in the book. But through the creative writing of the author I saw a subplot and illustrated three more characters into the book. It was a great fun to illustrate and I am privileged to get to work so much with Donna at Sylvan Dell. She is such a gem!

Sherry both books are beautiful and I may have told you before that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Moose and Magpie. The charm of your animals and the creative way you approached both books is amazing. With so little text you have created new and exciting environments for children AND adults to enjoy.

Three Cheers for you!!!

Looking through your pieces I can see how hard you've been working on your book projects. I can sure appreciate what you've been through. Like each book carefully rendered on the bookshelf in the bedroom, and all the other details. Great job!

I came back to this because I wanted to say how much I admired your use of space on these pages for Moose...where the text has so much room, and yet the illustration still has center stage. It creates a perfect balance. Can't wait for the book!

Oh Ginger thank you so much! Having that much text really made me have to think about how to handle it. I really appreciate you coming back to tell me that!
